I have owned 6 and loved them. There were no major problems, My first was a 1971 and I was hit in the rear while at a stoplight by a 74 Maverick. My car did not explode into flames and he hit me at around 40 MPH. The fires were few and far between but it was CBS that made it sound so bad. I am restoring a 1978 Pinto right now and I will be proud to drive around looking at all the people driving cars they can't afford. I wish yall would let go of saying the Pinto is a bad car!
